In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a Gulf Air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent helper".

These exchanges were published on this week together with over 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and places referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

On the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so people see the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how however the guys over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
